Event: Spin-offs, Start-ups, and Scale-ups are on everyone’s lips! Zukunft.Frauen Panel Discussion at GEISTWERT

12.10.2026

GEISTWERT is pleased to host a panel discussion together with Zukunft.Frauen on the topic “Spin-offs, Start-ups, and Scale-ups are on everyone’s lips!” On October 21, 2026 at 5.30PM, the focus will be on new business models and the development of the founder scene.

The Austrian federal government is providing a million-euro fund for innovative start-ups. It appears that the majority of scale-ups and start-ups are turning to debt capital. According to the Austrian Start-Up Monitor, however, the challenges for founders only arise after the initial launch: a lack of management skills.

What ultimately makes the difference for success? The necessary funding, the spirit of innovation, or essential leadership qualities?

Jutta Perfahl-Strilka will moderate the event. The following experts will contribute their perspectives to the discussion:

  • GEISTWERT partner Juliane Messner, ZFAC member and lecturer at the University of Vienna
  • Susanne Müller-Taborsky: Chairwoman of the ZFAC, board member of the alpha+ Foundation of the Austrian Science Fund (FWF), and Managing Director of smart-equity solutions
  • Constantin Wintoniak: Serial founder, including Onlyfy, formerly Prescreen and fynk

We’re looking forward to an inspiring evening at GEISTWERT. Please register at “zukunft@geistwert.at” .
