Company Law

To ensure that those who want to work together, also get along with one another. Company law sets up rules for companies.

Company law regulates internal relations of a company, as well as relations to third parties. The shareholders may choose from a variety of different company structures, which are each specified by the law. The most significant differences between the types of companies lie, in particular, in the procedures for formation, the organisational and liability structure, scope, tax and social security law. The following company forms are available in Austria: partnership under the Civil Code, Limited Liability Company, open society, partnership limited by shares, Stock Corporation, silent partnership, and Cooperatives and Industrial Societies.
