Newly founded IP boutique Geistwert comprises five experienced partners, coming from four different renowned firms in the Austrian market. The team usually works in patent litigation, particularly matters regarding SPCs. Licensing and regulatory matters are also a significant component of the firm’s work. Occasionally, partners provide advice in advertising of medicinal products. This past year the firm has been representing in an unfair competition dispute, regarding an allegation of patent infringement from a competitor. The case concerned an action against misleading advertising of an Austrian manufacturer of generic drugs. Partner Constantin Kletzer has extensive experience in intellectual property, while dual qualified Juliane Messner specializes in life sciences regulatory work, and an array of IP transactions.
